The great summer companion for ladies! Woven from the plaited leaves of Ecuadorian Toquilla Palm – the genesis of the best Panama hats in the world – the hat is lightweight, and breathable. The tightness, the finesse of the weave, and the time spent in weaving a hat out of the toquilla straw characterise its quality. The price of these hats depends on the time and quality a weaver has put in to the hat. A master weaver could take as long as eight months to weave a single hat. A craft so special, it’s been around since the mid-1600s and added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Formed in our Hattery, the hat is suitable to be worn with light summer clothes, such as our linen Wikan dresses, summer-weight suits and airy silk blouses.

– Colour: Caramel Cream
– Material: Toquilla Palm fibre
– Unlined
– Leather band on the outside
– Leather sweatband on the inside

While not wearing, store the hat in a cool, dry place. Fill the inside of the hat with paper or cloth and hang it somewhere where it could float in the air. Avoid dirty or greasy hands coming into contact with the hat. To dust the hat, use a soft brush with light-coloured bristles. To remove any stains, use a damp cloth or a small-pored sponge, applying only light pressure in a clockwise direction. Avoid moisture and water exposure.
